A Parent-Teacher-Child Conference (PTCC) is a collaborative meeting involving parents, teachers, and the child (student) to discuss the student’s academic progress, personal development, and overall well-being. PTCCs are designed to foster open communication, share information, set goals, and address any concerns or challenges that the student may be facing.
Purpose:
To assess the child’s academic performance, strengths, and areas that need improvement. To discuss the child’s social and emotional development, behavior, and overall adjustment to school. To set goals and strategies for the child’s continued growth and development.
To provide an opportunity for parents, teachers, and the child to collaborate and build a supportive educational environment.
Confidentiality:
Information discussed during PTCCs is typically treated confidentially, with a focus on the child’s best interests.
PTCCs are a valuable tool for enhancing the educational experience of students by promoting collaboration among parents, teachers, and the child. They help create a supportive network focused on the child’s success and well-being.
